If you goto Superstore by April 8, 2011 you can get a coupon for $4.99 off ANY Swiffer starter kit.  Because it says any and does not specify that it must be used on the mops or brooms you can use it on the swiffer duster which sells for $4.99 at both Walmart and Canadian Tire. If you have any problems (which I did not), the kit does state "starter kit includes..." which categorizes it essentially as a starter kit. 

Remember the coupon is only available till April 8, 2011 so get in there and get your swiffers for FREE! Spring Cleaning awaits.

Secret Deodorant on Sale at Sobeys For $2, FREE With Brandsaver Coupon

Selected varieties of Secret Deodorants are on sale at Sobeys this week for $2. If you still have any Brandsaver coupons laying around use them now, because they expire at the end of this month!

You can use the $4 off when you buy 2 Secret/Olay products and only pay the tax!

For those of you who are confused about the Brandsaver coupons, they came out in January 5th, 2011 insert in the paper. NO FRILLS great deal on 30 Rolls of Royale Toilet Paper

This week at No Frills 30 rolls (2 ply) Royale Toilet Paper are on sale for $4.77, which is a great deal. Not to mention combine that with the $1 off any 2 ply Royale Toilet Paper found in the Smart Source insert a month or so ago, that brings the total to $3.77! There is a limit of 2 per family, so bring a friend :)

NEW BRANDSAVER Insert to be out in CANADA APRIL 2!!!!!

Heard from a fellow Smart Canuck who emailed Brandsaver that the new insert will hit Canada April 2, be sure to mark your calendar as this is the hottest coupon insert for most people, it contains usually well over $100 in coupons and they often can be stack with several over coupons. This is my staple set of coupons that I use to get things for free, in fact this alone can get you many free items.


If you are new to couponing this is a staple item, so be sure to go and get it!

Ask and You Shall Recieve

One of the most important lessons I have learned is to ask questions. It certainly does not cause any harm, nor will it cause a negative impact. You wont find answers until you ask ;)

Recently I was told that London Drugs sometimes will reduce a product to the last posted sale price at their discretion. I was shocked! In fact I went to London Drugs and wanted to purchase some tissue (was currently at regular price) to donate and was hoping I could get it free. I was only getting 9 boxes so I asked about reducing the price to the last posted sale price. The Customer Service cashier (always ask at customer service desk as they have access to the computer system and are more knowledgeable regarding coupon rules, sales, and discounts) looked up the last posted price which would allow me to cover the entire cost with the coupons (it was only $.20 but oh well, lol). I asked what the rules where receiving the last posted price reduction and I was told is basically depends on the amount they have in stock and how much you wish to purchase and when it was last posted; obviously if your attempting to get a truck load they will likely say no, but if your reasonable they usually will accept your request. 

Lesson Learned: ASK, it never hurts and you could greatly benefit from it.

Check Your UPC Codes People!

Today I met up with a fellow Smartcanuck friend (Debbie99) who filled me in on something I never even thought to check before.

THE UPC CODES ON THE BACK OF YOUR COUPONS!!!

I used to never really look at the UPC codes on the back of coupons although I was aware that they had to be different from another. (That has changed as well according to LD policy you can now use coupons together if they 'look' different. What I didnt know was that there are several coupons available at any given time that look the same but have different codes. Sometimes this is because they have been distributed to different stores I am not sure but recently I found some coupons that were identical however they have different UPC codes, which means I can double my savings!


Here is a picture of 2 identical coupons with a different UPC code. Now that you know this start checking. I used to leave behind coupons thinking I had them already, completely unaware that it is potential if they are different.

Usually its just the last 2 numbers that will be different, here you can see that one ends with 10 and one ends with an 82. As you can see here they also have different expiry dates. So they may have come out in stores at different times.

THE Best Caesar Salad Dressing

This is the best Caesar Salad Dressing EVER!

It tastes just like the Keg Recipe. A million times better than bottled dressing.

---DRESSING--- (1) Egg (½) tsp Dry Yellow Mustard (½) tsp Salt Freshly Ground Black Pepper (2) Cloves Garlic, Minced (½) tsp Garlic Salt (2) TBL Anchovy Paste (1) TBL Lemon Juice (1) TBL White Vinegar (1) Cup Vegetable Oil ---SALAD--- (2) Heads Romaine Lettuce, Torn In Bite-Sized Pieces (---) Seasoned Croutons (---) Fresh Parmesan Cheese, Grated Mix all of the dressing ingredients in a blender, except the vegetable oil. Blend for 20 seconds. Slowly, add the vegetable oil, a drop at a time, until the mixture becomes thick. Chill the dressing for at least four hours, so that the flavors blend. Toss the romaine, dressing, croutons and Parmesan cheese just before serving. It's not the usual recipe for Caesar Salad, but it's a much better one. Makes 3-4 Servings.  ---Croutons--- (1/2) French Loaf (5) TBL butter (3) Cloves Garlic (1) TBL Parmesean Melt butter and mix in minced garlic and grated parmesan. Cut up french loaf into desired sized pieces. Toss bread in butter mixture and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 380 C for about 10-15; till desired crunchiness.
